Terms and Conditions
We try to keep all that we do simple but it does have to be subject to some rules and here they are.
They’ve been written to be understood but if you don’t understand anything, contact Chesapeakes UK and we’ll do our best to explain.
One other thing we need to say is that we do change these T&Cs from time to time and so you must always visit this page to see what changes we’ve made – we’ll assume that you have each time you contact us.
Your Promises To Us
You won’t do anything that might cause Chesapeakes UK to crash
You won’t borrow, copy or otherwise obtain design, data or any part of Chesapeakes UK for use in any other site or application
You won’t try to modify, translate, adapt, edit, decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer Chesapeakes UK
You won’t copy, imitate or use the trademarks and/or designs and/or layout or anything else which would usually amount to intellectual property and which belongs to Chesapeakes UK
Intellectual Property
Chesapeakes UK own all of the information and intellectual property on the web site.
We have no means of assessing the ownership of any content uploaded to the web site by those who advertise on the site – if anyone believes that your Intellectual Property Rights have been breached in any way, let us know and we will remove any material which breaches those rights.
Use Of The Site
You accept that the primary purpose of Chesapeakes UK website is to provide information about Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, advertise stud dogs, advertise litters and buying / selling puppies.
You agree that if you are advertising litters via Chesaoeakes UK, that you have the correct licensing requirements with your local council.
Ad Posting Rules
You agree that you will comply with the following conditions when requesting an advertisement to be placed on Chesapeakes UK :
Puppies must be at least 8 weeks of age before they leave their mother.
Photos must be of the actual dog, bitch and litter you wish to advertise. If advertising a litter of puppies, its advisable that you also upload photos of their mum (and dad if possible).
Any dogs you advertise must be owned by yourself. If you are advertising a litter of puppies, they must be owned and have been bred by yourself.
You will not offer any dog for sale, for the purpose of breeding, for example advertising a stud dog for sale or a dog for sale that is in season.
You must be able to show all puppies to any prospective buyer with their mother and (if possible) their father.
You have clearly identified all health and welfare issues associated with any dog you are advertising.
Chesapeakes UK do not allow anyone under the age of 18 to advertise puppies for sale, or a stud service. Also, we do not allow anyone under the age of 18 to use the website to contact an advertiser.
Chesapeakes UK reserve the right to refuse any advert(s) that may compromise the sites rules / regulations.
Chesapeakes UK reserve the right to decline any adverts or ban, close or suspend any one behaving in an irresponsible way.
If you break any of the above rules, we may end all or any Adverts you have placed with us.
When sending an email to our advertisers, you accept that Chesapeakes UK cannot guarantee that the email will be delivered successfully. Some advertisers email accounts may mark the emails as spam and therefore may never receive the email to their inbox.
Cancellation By Chesapeakes UK
We have the absolute right to cancel any advert which you place on the Chesapeakes UK web site:
With immediate effect and without notice if we know or suspect that you have broken any of these terms and conditions; and
With immediate effect, if we give you notice to that effect by email to you for any reason we, in our absolute discretion, think fit.
Privacy & Cookies

Disclaimers
We can’t promise that Chesapeakes UK will meet everyones needs, that it will work properly, that it will be fit for a particular purpose and that it will not infringe the rights of others.
We can’t promise that Chesapeakes UK will work on all devices or browsers, that it will be secure and that all information provided will be accurate.
Any advice given on Chesapeakes UK is general in nature and may not apply to you and/or your circumstances.
Problems and Complaints
At Chesapeakes UK we will do our very best to make sure that you do not experience any problems but if you do, you must tell us straight away.
At Chesapeakes UK we will do what we can to resolve the problem as quickly as we can.
If you wish to raise a complaint use the Contact Page. If we agree that your complaint has merit we will take such steps as Chesapeakes UK deem appropriate to resolve the complaint. Chesapeakes UK do not operate a formal complaints procedure and will deal with all complaints in the manner which we feel is the most reasonable way forward.
Availability of the Site
Chesapeakes UK can never guarantee that the web site will be available all the time and if it’s not available for any reason you can’t hold Chesapeakes UK responsible.
Chesapeakes UK have the right to change the web site and the services it offers, the way it operates and / or suspend it or stop it at any time.
Links to Other Websites
Chesapeakes UK don’t control any of the websites we link to and so we can’t be responsible for the content of such websites.
Just because Chesapeakes UK link to a site does not mean that we endorse or recommend those sites, therefore Chesapeakes UK can never guarantee that a link will work.
If you find any link Chesapeakes UK offer to be offensive, please let us know and we will consider removing it.
If you link to any other site using Chesapeakes UK then you understand that separate conditions will apply to those sites and that we have no control over those conditions – so you agree that you will read and understand them before using those sites.
Modifications of These Terms and Conditions & the Site
We’ve already said this, but we need to make it clear that these T&Cs will change from time to time and we don’t have the resources to let all our visitors know about the changes. As a result you MUST come back to this page to make sure that we haven’t changed the T&Cs and whenever you access the Site, you are confirming to us that you are aware of any changes.
We’ve also got the right to change the Site as and when we want to, but these T&Cs will still apply to any changes we make.
